Brittany Ferries. EFlexer ferries to be named Galicia and Salamanca

Brittany Ferries has just unveiled the first of its two-commissioned E-Flexer class RoPax ferries will be named Galicia and Salamanca.

Thies names, Galicia and Salamanca, have been taken on following a consultation made among the company's crews. These two names come from Spanish regions.

The first ferry, which is expected to be delivered ready for summer 2021, is likely to replace both Cap Finistère and MN Pelican. The second one would replace Etretat, with delivery a few months after her sister.

These vessels are being built in China on behalf of Stena Line which will charter them upon launch to Brittany Ferries for five years with an option of purchase.
