Stena Britannica was launched in 1967, but was sold as soon as the following year by Stena Lines. She was then renamed by her new owner Wickersham. She was chartered in by Brittany Ferries in 1980 on the purpose of operating the Saint-Malo – Portsmouth route with two ships to increase capacity, alongside with Prince of Brittany. She was renamed for this service Goelo.

Goelo's charter ended when Brittany Ferries was delivered of Quiberon, that enabled Armorique to resume service on the Saint-Malo route. During her short career with Brittany Ferries, Goelo featured in an episode of TV-broadcast Grange Hill (called The Trip to France), on a crossing between Portsmouth and Saint-Malo.

She was then renamed Viking 6 and chartered out to several operators in the North Sea. In December 1982, she was sold to Takis Solomonidis which renamed her Sol Olympia, before reverting to Viking 6 in June 1985. She was sold again to Navigazione Archipelago Maddalenino SPA in November 1985, which renamed her Moby Dream. She was transferred to Sardegna Line in 1994, before being laid up in 1998. She was broken in 2001 on Aliaga beach.
