In 1973, Condor Ltd decided to widen its fleet. Therefore, it ordered another hydrofoil Model RHS140 to Rodriquez shipyard. She was to be a sistership of Condor 3, that brought satisfaction to the company.
Christened as Condor 4, she has been operated by Condor Ltd until 1990, when she was replaced by larger Condor 9. However, Condor 4 had not been sold until 1993 to Greek company Hermes Ferries Shipping Co after having spend three years laid up in Saint-Malo. Condor 4 was then renamed Iptamenos Hermes 1.
